Karen Ellis Roberts
Karen is a 3rd Year Learning Disability Student Nurse at the University of Wales, Bangor.
Karen worked as a health care assistant for the North West Wales Health trust for 12 years before plucking up the courage at the age of 37 to do Learning Disability nurse training. She says that it has been a fantastic and rewarding experience.
"Looking back I don't know how I got through the 3 years. Luckily I had excellent support from the lecturers at the college telling me "you will be fine" and my two sons constantly saying "you will do it mam".
I am honoured and privileged to be a part of and involved with positive choices."
