Julie has worked in the learning disability field for 28 years in a number of areas including children, acute admissions and community residential settings and for the past 15 years has worked in higher education. She is a Senior Lecturer and Academic Lead in Learning Disabilities Nursing at Edge Hill University, Ormskirk and has responsibility for the Learning Disabilities Nursing Branch Programme. Julie is married with two teenage children and likes chocolate, cats and tap-dancing ( not all at the same time.)
